I did the girl version with my pre-teen daughter when she was younger and she got alot of it when there was so much peer pressure and changes in friends in the middle school age. So I decided to do this with my son.

Great resource for young boys. I led a small group over the Summer and used two resources by this author. I found this guide easy to use and very beneficial. It's filled with great tips, ice breakers, activities and the like. You can pick and choose what you feel is effective for your small group. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this collection. I like some twists and there was a bit of mystery included. The people were believable. It had a few different first names, In a collection I think that is very important ! I have read other collections and half (seemed like that many) had the same names and I had to keep going back to check who was who! This collection did a better job with the names.

Hannah Schrock is an amazing author and outstanding in bringing out the Amish stories. I so very much appreciated the grouping of these books and the fact they were a continuation of the family. It is so very nice to be able to follow a family through generations. Thank you.

The stories were good, especially if you like reading Amish books. Names were mixed up and in a couple of places it seemed so strange. Almost like the author forgot her place or repeated events. As a whole, if you can overlook this it is well worth the price. I would still read more from this author.

There is always a good story when written by Hannah Schrock and this is certainly one of them.What a sweet tale and a wonderful storyline. How interesting the twists were and how odd the way the community reacted. So nice to read.

All the series was something different but I enjoyed reading each book and couldn't wait to start reading the next

I just received it today, & already interrupted 2 current projects to try it out! I'm making a cabled mug cozy with an easy cable pattern. I found that helpful.Each cable pattern has a color photo and chart. They do NOT have written instructions. I thought that would be a problem for me, as I'm not used to using charts for knitting. But I started with an easy cable pattern, and have no problem following it. It's coming out good.It may not be THE most comprehensive book out there on cables, at least in terms of pattern variety, but I find it's a very good one for the size. I will say, depending on your knitting library, this could be repetition of what you may already have-if you have an extensive library. I like it's portable size, and that it's spiral bound. If you don't already have lots of books on cables, I think it's worth considering.

Lots of great patterns and much good information on working with cables, HOWEVER:I bought this book to get a specific pattern called "Tight Lattice Stitch". Unfortunately, it has the same diagram as the next pattern in the book. My guess is that the chart is correct for the next pattern, because it certainly isn't the one I wanted and does look plausible for the next one. I checked the publisher's errata page on the web. Sure enough, they listed that page as having an error, - but then BLANK, nothing about what was wrong or what it should have been. In fact it says the NEXT pattern diagram is wrong, but again doesn't give a correct one.

I borrowed this book from the library, and found so many great patterns that I just had to buy my own copy. Knit on.

Colorful cables. Solid diagrams. Enough white space to allow for scribbling nilotes. Understandable explanations. Easily readable font size. Spiral binding keeps book open. Info in increasing/decreasing cables vital. Good index. A fine product for us Irish/cable knitters.

I've always wondered how they made intricate cables on blankets and sweaters, this showed me how.I have yet to master the values I want to make, but it takes practice. I'll get it eventually.
